Day 1 Nairobi
Arrive in colourful Nairobi.
Day 2 Lake Nakuru
See what rural education is like with a visit to a school in the Kenyan countryside. Afterwards, journey to Lake Nakuru National Park to witness the magical sight of a thousand pink flamingos in flight. Keep your eyes on the land as well, as the acacia forests fringing the lake is a habitat that attracts many mammals. Giraffes feed on the trees and waterbucks or rhinos might come down to the lake for water.
Days 3-4 Lake Naivasha
Enjoy the abundant birdlife of Lake Naivasha or take an optional walking safari in Hell's Gate National Park.
Day 5 Loita Hills
Camp among a local tribe in the heart of Masai country and learn about the lives of these red-robed warriors.
Days 6-7 Masai Mara
The rivers and plains of this world-famous game reserve swarm with predators like leopards and lions. Herbivores also dot the plains, and sightings of elephants, gazelles and zebras are common.
Day 8 Narok
Make full use of the hotel pool and bar or head into town to mingle with the many Masai people that live around here.
Day 9 Kisii
With a new crew and vehicle, head west across the Great Rift Valley to the town of Kisii, surrounded by miles of tea plantations.
Day 10 Lake Victoria
Appreciate the solitude of a night spent on the shores of Africa's largest lake.
Days 11-12 Serengeti National Park
Hunting is best done at dusk, so embark on a sunset safari across the Serengeti's golden grasses in hope of seeing cheetahs, leopards and other iconic African animals. Camp within the Serengeti National Park boundaries and drift off to sleep listening to the sounds of nocturnal African animals.
Day 13 Ngorongoro Crater
Two million years old, the Olduvai Gorge is where early man first made his home.
Day 14 Meserani
Venture out in 4WDs armed with lots of film - with 30,000 resident animals, the Ngorongoro Crater floor is a photographer's dream. This is one of the best places to spot endangered black rhinos. Descend the slopes of the volcano massif to Mto Wa Mbu to browse the markets in this sleepy town.
Day 15 Nairobi
On return to Nairobi, kick back and enjoy the cafe culture.

On 07 June the Australian Government issued an updated travel warning for East Timor strongly advising against travel to East Timor because of the extremely dangerous security situation. Australians in the country are advised to leave. The Travel Warning remains at Category 5 - Do Not Travel.
On Tuesday 07 June we have taken the decision to cancel the remainder of our East Timor trips scheduled to depart in 2006. All travellers will be notified and given the opportunity to transfer to another trip or obtain a full refund (land content only). We very much regret having to take this action and our thoughts and sympathies are with the people of East Timor during this troubled time.
We are confident of being able to resume our normal schedule of trips to East Timor in 2007 and hope that those travellers who have had to cancel their plans this year will travel with us to East Timor in 2007.
For other safety updates, please see our general safety updates page.
