Extend your trip for a few days and explore the fabulous Dampier Peninsula north of Broome on our Cape Leveque Experience. These trips combine to make our Spirit of the Kimberley trip (POK)
Day 1 Broome/ Windjana Gorge
Leaving Broome early our journey begins with a visit to the mighty Fitzroy River and some of the local Aboriginal 'Wandjina' artists at Mowanjum Arts and Cultural Centre. Travelling on up the Gibb River Road, we head for the Napier Ranges. Enjoy lunch at Windjana Gorge, before an afternoon trek to explore the natural scenery and abundance of local wildlife and watch the sunset over the gorge walls.
Day 2 Tunnel Creek/ Biridu Community
In the morning learn a little about the vast Tunnel Creek cave networks, a place where you can swim and marvel at this natural wonder. Head to the remote Biridu community, the home of our guide, for a bushtucker dinner and a memorable evening of Aboriginal stories round the campfire.
Day 3 Geikie Gorge/ Broome
Journey towards Fitzroy Crossing to explore the spectacular Geikie Gorge. A fascinating 2 hour Aboriginal Heritage Cruise through the gorge provides both a perfect view of the dramatic gorge walls with insight into local Aboriginal legends and traditions. After lunch we visit Fitzroy Crossing, before the adventure ends in beautiful Broome.

On 07 June the Australian Government issued an updated travel warning for East Timor strongly advising against travel to East Timor because of the extremely dangerous security situation. Australians in the country are advised to leave. The Travel Warning remains at Category 5 - Do Not Travel.
On Tuesday 07 June we have taken the decision to cancel the remainder of our East Timor trips scheduled to depart in 2006. All travellers will be notified and given the opportunity to transfer to another trip or obtain a full refund (land content only). We very much regret having to take this action and our thoughts and sympathies are with the people of East Timor during this troubled time.
We are confident of being able to resume our normal schedule of trips to East Timor in 2007 and hope that those travellers who have had to cancel their plans this year will travel with us to East Timor in 2007.

This is a fantastic trip that I would highly recommend for anyone wanting to see a beautiful and remote part of Australia. The highlights were sunsets at Cape Leveque and being guided through Tunnel Creek by an Aboriginal elder.
