Freedom is my philosophy of life and I can only find it by experiencing the wonders and the different cultures that the world offers.
My passion for travel started at early stage. At the age of 15, I started working part time so I could invest on short trips away to somewhere different. My parents always gave me great support in my style of living.
By the age of 20, I already had experienced the off beaten track style of travel and living in different places of my home country, Brazil. I decided to be more adventurous and explore somewhere with a completely different culture from South America, so I moved to New Zealand and here I find myself for the past 8 years. I'm not sure if this is my final stop, who knows?
I can tell you about South America culture and what makes this destination really unique. Describe the amazing sunset at Copacabana beach in Rio de Janeiro and the magic carnival parade to the endless beats of samba. Tell you about Buenos Aires colourful painted metal houses and tango bars.
Being part of Intrepid Travel allows me to share my experiences on my intrepid way. I would love to hear from your experiences too, so take time and visit me at the store!

Travel has been my passion from an early age. My first big trip overseas was in Asia, followed by Africa, then Australia, New Zealand was a tag on, but I fell in love with the country and am now living here.
I travelled with Intrepid on my first group trip, making life long friends. I've met people from many different cultures, seen unbelievable sights, and I don't want to ever stop travelling. It's opened my mind and enriched my life.
I've watched sunrise over the Taj Mahal, and sunset over Uluru. Swam with whale sharks and Manta rays in Australia, and stroked a leopard in Kenya. Sailed down the Zambezi river, sat and chatted on a sidewalk with the locals in Hoi An. I've just spent the last 18 months living in the UK, travelling around the country, spending time in Ireland and Europe, and am about to go to China, to see the Terracotta Warriors and The Great Wall, I can't wait.
I'm always thinking about where I can go next. So if you have any ideas for me, or want a few for yourself, come into the store for a chat

I left the shores of New Zealand when I was just 19 bound for the UK. Basing myself there for six years gave me the opportunity to head off to more distant remote territories. It is here my passion for travel, getting off the beaten track and up close and personal with the cultures of these counties, really took hold.
I've seen the pyramids in Egypt on the back of a camel; taken a felucca along the Nile; dived the Thistlegorm (shipwreck) in the red sea; visited the old City of Jerusalem; floated in the salty waters of the dead sea; got escorted out of Petra for not having a valid permit; taken a safari on the plains of the Serengeti; camped under the stars in the Okavango delta in Africa listening to the roar of wild lions (which sounded very close); flew a Microlight over Victoria Falls; saw Orangutans in the wild in Sumatra; saw the sun rise over Mt Bromo in Indonesia; trekked into a hill tribe in Laos and met people who had not ever seen a white person let alone a blonde before; ate fried bugs with a little girl in Laos; had the great pleasure of diving some of the most beautiful reefs in the world in the Great Barrier; and attended an ANZAC dawn ceremony at Gallipoli.
I am delighted to join Intrepid and I share their passion for travel where travellers become a part of country - and not just tourists looking in. I've shared some of my memories - now come and meet me, and I'll help you plan a trip to create some of your own.

My passion for travel started with the great overland adventure, Kathmandu to London through the Middle East. I arrived in England broke and already planning my next trip.
After spending seven years based in London and exploring Europe and North Africa I returned to New Zealand. But not before I had spent 6 months travelling in East and Southern Africa.
Asia has always held a particular fascination for me and the place that always draws me back. Not only have I travelled there independently but have also just spent 3 years as a Group Leader for Intrepid in SE Asia, China, Tibet, and New Zealand. What an experience. Being able to share some of my favourite areas of the world with some of the most amazing people.
Last year saw me take a holiday from Asia travelling to South America for the first time and leaving me wanting to return to explore even more.
Travelling with Intrepid allows you to experience the local culture, mix with the local people and experience the gastronomic delights of the world. Come and see me to plan and be inspired for your next adventure.
