problems?
Having problems unsubscribing or not receiving the newsletter, click on one of the links below to get some troubleshooting hints.
unsubscribe hints
If you are unsubscribing manually, our List Manager requires an exact match of your email address. There can be several possibilities why this may be a problem:
- You have forwarded one email account to another.
- A slight variance to the point 1, someone at your work place has their email account forwarding to yours.
- You subscribed under a slightly different email account. For example: you subscribed under yourname@mailexcite.com and you are trying to unsubscribe under yourname@excite.com. Notice the addition of the word "mail" in the email address.
- Your domain name has changed. For example Intrepid recently had an domain name changed which dropped the ".au" from the end of the name.
- You have recently successfully unsubscribed.
The easiest and most reliable way to unsubscribe is to use the "unsubscribe" link from your most recent copy of the newsletter. Simply double click on the link and you will be immediately unsubscribed.
If this does not resolve your problem, please email us and we shall gladly look into the problem for you.
problems receiving the newsletter
There can be several reasons why you may not have received our newsletter:
- Your mail box is full/temporarily over quota. (This is the most common reason, especially if you hold an account which has a limit on the amount of information that can be stored in your mailbox, eg: Hotmail.)
- Your mail server does not accept mail relaying.
- Your mail server rejects certain content of an email, for example the word "win".
- You subscribed incorrectly. For example you subscribed under the name "yourname@hotmail." without putting in the correct suffix: ".com", or you simply misspelt a part of the name - eg: "yourname@hoymail.com" instead of "yourname@hotmail.com".
- Your mail server was temporarily down.
- You had/have an auto reply on your email.
Try one (if not all) of the following steps to try and resolve the problem:
- Try and resubscribe. Our newsletters are generally sent out on Wednesday or Thursday, so you will have to wait until then to find out if you were successful.
- Contact your IT department/support person and ask them whether there are any of the above restrictions.
- If the above two steps do not resolve the problem, please email us to have someone from Intrepid look into it for you.
