One of my favourite memories of Sri Lanka is sitting at a beachside cafe on the golden sands of Mirissa beach in the early evening, watching the sunset with beer in hand and gentle waves lapping at my feet - paradise! Sri Lanka offers so many good things in such a small package - apart from palm-fringed beaches you have the crumbling remains of ancient cities, the cool hill country carpeted with bright green tea plantations and an abundance of wildlife. You'll meet some of the friendliest people you can find and eat delicious food - aromatic curries, fresh seafood and exotic tropical fruit. I'm sure your memories of Sri Lanka will be as fond as mine.
