Chile Travel Information

A leader's perspective...

Cut off from the rest of South America by the Andes chain, which runs the length of the eastern border, Chileans have a reputation for being less Latin than their neighbours, more reserved. This may be true but the people I met in Chile earlier this year are among the most genuine I’ve met anywhere. In the short time I spent there I was constantly amazed by the kindness of strangers and simpatico nature of others who quickly became friends. Combine this hospitality with the extreme contrasts in the landscape – from the deserts of San Pedro de Atacama in the north to the lush, volcano-dotted Lake District in the centre, and the islands and fjords and glaciers of Chilean Patagonia in the far south – and you’ve got a perfect destination.
