When I was 2 years old my parents decided to take themselves and their toddler off to Europe, buy a camper van and see where the road took them! Although I have no conscious memory of it - only lots of cute photos of me in strange and wonderful places, I am convinced that the experience left an imprint on my personality that is still very much present today. As soon as I could I ventured overseas as a young adult, preferring countries with cultures and people very different to home. My favourite travelling experiences have been in countries that have challenged me and given me a new perspective on our world and all the people that live in it!

Working at Intrepid gives me a chance to share my passion for travel everyday - I am really excited about helping other people venture out into our varied and beautiful planet. I think the Intrepid style of travel is a great mix of flexibility and real cultural involvement, that gives people the chance to experience the true nature of the countries they visit. I look forward to helping you plan your next adventure!

I've been involved in the travel industry for two and a half years now and it never ceases to amaze me just how challenging and exciting the travel world is. Like snowflakes, there are no two Intrepid travellers the same!

It is extremely fulfilling to inspire others to encourage them to push their boundaries for them to see just how amazing this world is. To help turn people's dreams into a reality on a regular basis is very satisfying.

I have been fortunate enough to travel through some amazing places in Europe, Asia and North America. Every experience has helped me to appreciate not only the diversity and cultures that other countries have to offer but also opened my eyes to how fantastic life is in Australia.

For those non believers out there who doubt if travel broadens your horizons, come down to the Bourke St store and see how infectious travel really is.

All I have ever wanted to do was travel. I can't remember why or from what age, all I remember is having itchy feet and wanting to "get out there". Having finished school and persevering through a year of college, I decided it had to be now or never. It's funny what you can do when you really want something so bad. I worked night and day, Saturdays and Sundays and before I knew it I had the best 21st birthday present I could ever want, I ticket to London and no plans!!

A decade and all 7 continents later, here I am, back in Melbourne. Still with the urge to travel but when I can't, loving the opportunity of opening up the world and experiences to others.

Having travelled through many poor countries and communities, working at Intrepid not only allows me to keep my passion for travel alive, it also gives me the opportunity to make a difference through our responsible tourism program and the Intrepid Foundation.

Hope to see you in the Bourke Street store soon!!

Been around the world and I, I, I, I can't find my way home, or something like that. Anyways, I have a bug, one that I can't get rid of, but one that you'll be sure to catch indeed. This bug has made me find my parallel life in Brazil, where a BBQ and a cold beer are never too far away, whether you're in Rio on Copacabana beach ushering in the New Year dressed in white with around 2.5 million of your new best friends, or getting away from it all on Fernando de Noronha, a small Island just over an hour flight off the coast of Recife. This country will wrap you in its arms and never let you go.

Staying with the Portuguese theme, I had the privilege of exploring East Timor, a combination of many peoples, from the rein of the portuguese, Melanesians, Malay and Indonesians to now, what in English are called the East Timorese. Such an amazing and diverse country, and yet only a short flight from Darwin. Everything is here, your un-spoilt beaches, coral reefs just meters off the coast, not to mention the sea life. Despite its recent dark history, the locals will welcome you into their lives and hearts to share with you a genuine unforgettable experience.

There have been many other personal experiences I would love to share with you, sunsets over the Pagan temples and stupas of Bagan in Myanmar, the wondrous beauty that is Macchu Picchu, climbing Volcan Villarica in Chile, white water rafting down the Trisuli river in Nepal, or waterfalls cascading from Uluru during a massive down pour.

These are all out there, ready and waiting for you, but beware, once you get the bug, it will be with you for ever. Come in for a chat, you know you want to!

Born a Sagittarian, I am represented by the centaur, symbolizing a love of travelling. I suppose it was then natural that I ended up in the travel industry and now Intrepid. I simply love talking about the thing that I am passionate about all day. Having travelled to each continent of the globe, there are some things I can tell you. I can tell you how much mosquito repellent you may need the Pantanal in Brazil (it won't be enough!), or how hot it can get in Cambodia. I can even tell you how the Russian's drink their vodka (straight up!)

What I can't tell you is how you will feel when you marvel at the gleaming Taj Mahal, gaze at the amazing Mt Fuji, or stare in awe at the spectacular Torres Del Paine in Patagonia. I also cannot describe just how Yak's milk tastes in Mongolia. All this I have done, but you must experience this yourself to know it!

Some of the most memorable moments happened to me on an Intrepid tour including riding a camel (backwards!) in Rajasthan and developing lifetime friends with those on the tour.

I look forward to having you in the store chatting about YOUR next adventure; It won't be me as my passport is full!

So what is a Swede doing far away from his Motherland? Long story short, as a 20 year old I took off on my first long trip to and fell in love with this stunning country. Twelve years later I have been lucky to explore many parts of the world, independently and with Intrepid.

When the time came to settle down, start a family and put travelling on a temporary hold, I was lucky enough to be able to stay close to my passion for travel by getting a job at Intrepid.

In my now 5 years with the company, I have been lucky enough to work in many different areas of Intrepid. Being the manager of our first ever store in the world brought many fantastic challenges and I am lucky enough to work with a fantastic team.

I urge you to come in and experience our store and help us make your travelling experience second to none. See you soon!
